I invite you to take a
slow walk through
the woods with me...
to engage
fully with our surroundings
through our senses
and our physicality
to experience
the many restorative benefits
of being in nature
and to carry them forwards
into our daily lives
to rediscover
our own innate nature
and the wisdom that lies
within our bodies
pausing often...

to remember that we are part of nature, not separate from it

to recognise
the connections between our physiology and that of the trees and plants with which we share this earth
to breathe,
listen and find connection to our
own internal map and
the anatomy of our bodies,
through meditative attention
and mindful movement
Our Elemental Nature
Through exploring the qualities of the four elements
earth - air - fire - water
we encourage our internal systems to find equilibrium
and discover an ease and efficiency in our everyday movement

Earth
Feeling our feet connecting to
the earth grounds us in place and presence. It connects us to our
own internal structure - our bones
and encourages us to find our
inner support and stability.

Air
helps us open up into the potential
of our breath and encourages a
sense of space within the body and
the mind. It brings about a
lightness of movement and helps
alleviate stress and tension

Fire
represents energy and life force
- a source of warmth and light.
Learning to harness the qualities
of this element can help us
regulate the use of our own
energy and encourage us to find
momentum when needed
or rest as required.

Water
encourages fluidity and
adaptability. We are watery beings
- made up of around 60% water -
and to connect to this element can
bring about a sense of continuity
and the ability to flow through the
daily landscape of our lives.
