Terms and Conditions for attending a Moving through Nature session

These are a few basic measures that you can take, that will help to keep you as safe and as happy as possible during the session. Please read through carefully as it is important to understand these simple conditions.

Clothing and Weather

Sturdy footwear is essential, even in summer, as whilst the terrain is quite gentle, the ground can be uneven, so it is necessary to have supportive boots or shoes.

I advise against shorts as they don't offer any protection against brambles or insects. For the same reason, I recommend long sleeved tops.

In colder weather wearing layers is the best way to accommodate changes in temperature and even in summer it is advisable, as we can spend portions of time in stillness.

The sessions will go ahead if it is raining, unless there is a chance of lightning, strong winds or a weather warning, so please bring waterproofs if appropriate.

Things to bring

We won't always sit on the ground, but in longer sessions particularly, I advise bringing a waterproof mat or rug to sit or lie on, or a small portable chair if you are uncomfortable sitting on the ground.

Water and food as required, especially for longer sessions.

Sun cream and insect repellant as required and don't forget any medication you may need including any anti allergy medicine.

Please let me know in advance of any serious health issues and always seek advice from your medical practitioner if you have any concerns about taking part in Moving through Nature sessions.

Personal Responsibility

Moving through Nature sessions are all about finding peace and presence and an awareness of our bodies in natural environments. However, as with any situation there are potential hazards and risks, however small.

It is always a good idea to be aware of your footing as you walk through woods, or any natural environment, as roots, fallen branches and stones etc can require extra concentration to cross and navigate. You will be responsible for your own safety in this regard and whilst every effort is taken to maintain and indeed enhance your wellbeing, Moving through Nature will not be liable for any accidents that are a result of natural hazards inherent in being in nature.

The movement that we do will be very gentle and not strenuous, but I cannot guarantee 100% that you will never sustain an injury. You will always be responsible for your own body and only undertake movement that you feel comfortable doing, with your awareness of your own limitations or physical abilities.

Moving through Nature will not be liable for any physical injuries that occur in any of the sessions.

Refund Policy

A full refund will be issued if you cancel 48 hours in advance. Otherwise a refund will not be possible.

If a session has to be cancelled by me due to bad weather or illness, then an alternative session will be offered, or if that is not possible, a full refund.
